Meet Tara Vander Dussen

I am an environmental scientist, mom, and 5th generation dairy farmer. My husband and I farm in New Mexico with our family, including our 2 daughters. I am passionate about advocating for modern dairy farming. My background allows me to share a unique perspective about our dairy community. As an environmental scientist, I share the truth about sustainability, water conservation, and manure management on dairy farms. And as a mom, my goal is to connect with fellow moms on the basic understanding that we all want to provide our families with food that is good for us and for the planet. My goal is to bridge the gap between consumers and farmers. Changing people’s misconceptions about where their food comes from by sharing my experience as an environmental scientist, mom, and dairy farmer.
